Artifact No. 41 - Creepy Doll with Rocking Chair

For October, we’re pushing to get all our haunted dolls on the Etsy shop because who doesn’t love a good haunted doll for Halloween?

This doll is in a white lace dress with a purple underskirt and velvet ribbon under her chin. She is wearing a bonnet and has reddish-brown hair with a hand-painted face. When I look at her, the name Marianne pops into my head, and for the sake of ease, we’ll just call her Marianne for the rest of the description. While working on the description for this item, it sounded like someone was trying to play with the lock on our front door, but our Ring Camera didn’t show anyone there. It makes things a bit unnerving.

Marianne is sitting on an iron and wood rocking chair. The rocking chair is missing a screw, but other than that, it’s in amazing condition.

Google tells us that both were made in the 1980s, although we can’t find any manufacturing labels or marks on either item. They are being sold as a set and were found at our local thrift shop.

When you hold Marianne in your hands, there is an oppressive feeling in the air, and it almost feels like someone is watching you from the corner of the room. Most of the time, her energy is neutral, so our best guess is that she doesn’t like being picked up. It probably means she will also be angry that she’s been sent out in the mail.

Please note, all items are sold ‘as is’. The condition of this item has not been altered from how we found it. Without any information about the manufacturer, we cannot provide details about where the doll or rocking chair came from. All we can guarantee is that the items are creepy.

If you’re looking to add a haunted doll to your collection, this doll might be just the right doll for you.
