Artifact No. 63 - Doll in Yellow dress
Meet Alice. She's one of the newest dolls in our spooky collection. We picked her up at a local thrift store. Alice is what's known as a Musical Suzie Doll, and she was made sometime between the 1960s and the 1980s in Hong Kong. Not only does she play music, but she also holds money and twirls.
Alice is about 8 inches tall. She is dressed in a yellow lace dress and hat. Alice is holding yellow flowers in her arms and has red ribbons in her hair.
While we were walking past her in the store, she played a few notes, then stopped. Which made us stop too. We're not sure if ghosts can sense that we keep other haunted items at home or not, but her playing a few notes when we walked past her suggests that she wanted to get our attention, so we took her home with us.
