Artifact No. 55 - Hand-Carved Ouija Board

On a recent trip to our local thrift store, we found this hand-carved Ouija Board. It is adorned with skulls, eyeball hands, tentacles, and a cemetery in the centre of the board. We have no idea who carved it or how it ended up in the local thrift store, but it is weirdly wonderful and one of a kind.

While typing up the description for this Ouija Board, with it sitting next to me, one of our end tables randomly sounded like someone was shutting its door. It startled both the dog and I. So, there’s that.

Ouija boards are used to communicate with spirits and occasionally demons. If you don’t close out the conversation by moving the planchette over ‘Goodbye,’ the entity is said to attach itself to the board, and the lines of communication will remain open.

This board does not have a planchette, so if you plan to use the Ouija Board for spirit communication, you will want to find something that will work with the board. It could also make for a fun piece of wall décor for someone with a spooky aesthetic.
