Artifact No. 60 - Sad Clown Doll - Clem - Dynasty Doll
A new clown for our Creepy Clown Collection.
Meet Clem! He is a Dynasty Doll that would have been produced in the 1980s. Clem has porcelain hands and feet, and is approximately 25 inches tall. Dressed in the finest plaid pants with rainbow suspenders and a felt jacket, Clem is what is referred to as a “Hobo Clown”. He has a minor chip on one of his shoes (see pictures for details) and is wearing a black hat. Clem was found at our local thrift store and has a piece of folded-up newspaper in his pocket.
Google tells us that a Time Capsule Curse may be the reason the newspaper is there. A Time Capsule Curse is when a piece of printed media, such as a newspaper, is intentionally used to anchor a spirit into the physical world at a specific time or date. It means the doll may be a vessel to contain the spirit, and the newspaper is likely the anchor for the spirit.
We are typing up this description the day we bought Clem because he’s just so unique we knew he needed to be on the shop immediately.
