Artifact No.32 - Baby with Baby Carriage
This artifact is a bit of a two-for-one, which is why the price is a bit higher. We found both the items in separate trips to local thrift stores.
The carriage is mostly wicker, with metal accents and a cloth canopy. It’s rusted and in worn condition, but we kind of think it adds to the charm of the whole thing. We cannot guarantee that the canopy can close, and we also can’t confirm the age of the carriage. Google says that it’s likely a Victorian item, so over 100 years old, and honestly, it makes sense when you look at the condition of the carriage.
The doll is also vintage. It is from the 1960s. The doll is dressed in a satin christening dress with red ribbons. Its hands, face and feet are porcelain. This doll is in great shape! It also might be haunted? We’re not sure, but one of our nieces stared into its eyes and told us it was trying to steal her soul. The younger of our nieces came upstairs and announced its name was Rebecca and spent the rest of the family gathering playing with the doll and humming. So, yeah, it might be haunted…it’s probably haunted… although if we’re being honest, sometimes demons like to disguise themselves as the spirits of children and with the idea of “soul stealing” is kind of feels 50/50.
Could be haunted. Could be possessed by a demon. Could be just another run-of-the-mill creepy doll. Why not buy Rebecca and find out?
